charity
The first thing we should say is that you are not expected to run for charity, we know that there are lots of people who enter races to keep fit and because they like running.
We also know that you may want to run for your own charity and thats not a problem either.
However this run is being organised in conjunction with Against Breast Cancer.
When you register, we will send you one of their sponsor forms so that, if you should choose to do so, you can raise funds to support their breast cancer research.
• Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer.
• More than 100 women a day in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer
From their office a few miles along the Thames at Abingdon, Against Breast Cancer funds unique research into breast cancer. Their aim is to increase survival after diagnosis and ultimately to discover a vaccine against breast cancer.
The charity says:
‘Will you run for us in 2009? Every pound you raise gets us closer to a future free of breast cancer.’
